A great café gets the basics right every time. Olivia By Fave is built around specialty coffee and opens early, from 6:30am on weekdays, so it works for a pre-work flat white as well as a slow weekend one.
2. There’s something beyond coffee
Matcha is a big part of how Olivia By Fave is known. It also runs through the food: the Honey Toast pairs matcha custard with strawberry and mascarpone on shokupan.
3. The food has range
A good café should suit different appetites on the same table:
- Hearty: Steak & Egg (200g rump, chimichurri or béarnaise) and the Fave Breakfast
- Lighter and dietary-friendly: Smashed Avocado (available vegan, gluten-free or dairy-free depending on how it’s ordered)

4. It’s open when you need it
Many cafés close after lunch. Olivia By Fave also opens for dinner on Thursdays and Fridays, and stays open through to 10pm on Saturdays.
